I cut the mustard today. Should I just pull the plants and plant something else or will the mustard grow back? I want to make the most of the space. Should I wait and plant more mustard when it is cooler?

Planting more seed later should be a good idea, GWR.

When it's cooler? Well, it may still be fairly warm in about 7 to 10 weeks. Harvest gets a little tricky in the fall with rain, cool weather, frosts ... hedging your bets with a little sprinkle of seed every week or two beginning in late July and continuing until September should ketchup some winning numbers for you.

;) Steve

I harvest the outer leaves on mustard, if they are too old, I give them to the chickens. I never totally cut the whole crown off. The small inner leaves will grow on out. Sometimes I harvest right up to the smaller crown leaves, but I leave the crown so they will keep growing. Do you need that space for something else? Have you gotten all the mustard you want? It might be worth it to let it ride for awhile just to see if they will grow back and give you another harvest.
