my first strawberry!!

This is my second attempt at growing strawberries. Last year all my plants just died. This year I actually have (almost) ripe strawberries!!

Hey... just wondering.. if you pick the seeds off, can you plant them?

Yipee! There is nothing better than berries from the garden! I was excited to see flowers on mine, yesterday... The waiting begins! Enjoy!

Once it's completely ripe I'll be eating them. Probably right off the vine too.

I might try to collect seeds from them. It'll be a fun little experiment.

They are really tasty right off of the vine. The thing I HATE about strawberries is that you have to move them every 3rd year. I had them in a great spot, by the door of my garage. Last Fall I dug some up and move them to the bed on the west side of the garage. They are up and doing nicely, but not spreading out, yet.

Yeah, why do you have to move them?

Stony, that is a prize winning strawberry if I ever saw one!! Gorgeous! Beautiful!! YAY!!!!!

Around here, u c it, better pick and eat it. I plant, weed, etc, but wife and daughter will get them before I do. So if 3/4 ripe, I pick and eat!
