Last week my friend's husband was a real sweetheart! There was a wedding this Sunday at their home, and he put in a lot of $$ to spruce up the yard for the event.

Last year this area was a tangle of Tomato Plants and weeds with an apple tree in the center.

Now it has very neat planting areas, with paved walkways. she has two grape arbors, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, tomatoes, artichokes, and room for lots more plants.

This apple tree (Ein Shemer) was developed in Israel. it doesn't need many cold days. It is in full bloom!

Her husband gave this Fountain Garden an uplift too. Made it an herb and annual flower bed.

It doesn't hurt that her husband owns a block and paving company! They have wonderful landscaping.
I am quite green with envy!!

Her husband didn't do the work himself, he just supervised a crew of guys doing all the work. I was amazed they got it all done so fast!

I am envious of their elegant block walls/paths too! :D On the first and second pictures, what is all the piping for?

It looks like its a support system for their enclosure, sort of like greenhouse framing.
Of course I could be wrong but I was wondering too and it seemed like that it was some sort of enclosure, perhaps for the wedding, protection from the elements and framing for an elaborite tent.

The pipes are support posts for chicken wire to keep most of the birds out of the garden. Helps in getting more apples when the birds can't get to them so easy.
