Everything is looking great now, but we are supposed to get 3.5" of rain starting Friday along with high winds!

Ah, to be in zone 8!!! Everything looks fabulous! I will hope that it is a gentle rain- and that the winds pass you by! What did you start from seed?

I started several tomatoes but only 6 brandywines and 1 Creole made it - the rest I bought. I direct sowed the beans, corn, southern peas, cukes, squash and zukes - the last three I didn't get pics. Unfortunately, the weather says heavy rain. :(

Very nicew and so big. But where are you collards? I planted a few plants and they are just huge. I keep cutting the outer leaves and they grow back.

Oh that is so fabulous! I haven't even begun my corn yet. I have no where to put it yet! ;)

Good luck, I'm sure everything will survive the wind and rain. I hope you even get to harvest and save some of that rain as well. :watering

Nope, no collards! I didn't plant any cool weather crops this spring.

So far no rain or bad weather - it went north of us. I saw where Arkansas got it instead of us. We still have a hefty chance of rain today though. It's hot and so muggy out.

It is absolutely disgusting out. I saw the weather and I think sunday we have a nasty chance of rain at least down here.

Southern - so when do your collards give in to the heat? I cut the outer branches and was hoping they would grow at least until end of June. Where I am going to replace them with watermelons?
