I finally got this finished the other day and have several cloves of Elephant Garlic in it. We picked this up 7 yrs ago at a yard sale for .50 cents. It started out a kiddie pool for Jordan that the ducks eventually inherited. 7 yrs later and MANY patches along they way it finally just wouldn't hold water anymore. I broke out the sawsall, cut out the bottom, placed it on a bed of cardboard, and filled her with dirt. The chicken wire keeps me from having to kill chickens or dogs ;)

Hi Broke,

This is as good a spot as any to post this.

I just walked (4 miles) to the post office to drop off your box of goodies. I just walked in the door and the Post Office is on the phone demanding what is in the box going to your house.

Apparently, the little girl behind the counter was sent home sick because of that little box. She is 8-months pregnant and as soon as I stepped into the building she started wheezing and coughing and choking. I swear she was going to have that baby right then and there.

So, she seems to be ultra sensitive to garlic chive, marjoram, and oregano! LOL

The said they have no alternative but to direct the box to Homeland Security and that I am warned if they find any drugs that I am in serious trouble! LOL

OMG, those poor plants. I packed them so tidy and so neat they all fit perfectly in the box. I even separately bagged everything except the Oregano. I hate to imagine how they will tear through it and break stuff. I even hid something special in there for you (not illegal)!!

Please let me know when your box arrives and please forgive me for such an uproar; I half suspect the Feds to come pounding on your door now!!

I told her that she has my full permission to search, but apparently she said she does not need my permission (then why did they call?)

Geez'us Louise'us LOL Thank god I individually marked everything!

Well, it certainly isn't your fault. My post office ALWAYS asks (I mean always!) if there is anything hazardous, live, or perishable in the box. I'll let you know as soon as it gets here. Maybe we'll be lucky and they'll go on and ship it without destroying it. I ain't holdin my breath tho :(

THANK YOU for going to ALL that trouble - that's the worst part of it. That's a long hike to send herbs to someone you only know online just to have the P.O. cop an attitude.

Sweetie, today isn't your day :hugs Go love your roses so you can feel better :hugs

That's some awesome use out of something... I have to say you've gotten every dime out of that out swimming pool.

I want to add this though... doesn't that pool/raised bed look like the 'thing' from the weight watchers commercial!? *snort* *giggle*

OH yeah,

Well I have to be honest Joe, one of those boxes was going to your house too!

I told the woman on the phone that the box in question was the little one bound for Texas and not the big white 'ticking' box going to Florida.

She said she would be referring both boxes to the Feds! Now they will want to know who the Addressee is because you never gave me a last name. So I labeled it to "Joe in Florida" LOL

How suspicious is that !!!!!!

OMG, what Have I Done?

Ron
