She crossed over to Rainbow Bridge yesterday - she died peacfully in my arms. She was 15 years of pure love and joy for me. I'm missing her so much.

I haven't been in the garden or on TEG in weeks - she's been sick and I've been so busy at work, but today is cloudy, so I plan to keep busy and clean it up to get ready for fall planting. Keeping busy keeps my tears and heartache at bay.

SO sorry for you. Losing your dog is as bad as losing a human loved one. My only cure when my darling Candy died was to get a new dog. I could not stand being with out her. I kept hearing her run up beside me. I love my Lilly as naughty as she is. What you forget when you have a dog for so long is how different a puppy is. Cry your eyes out-no shame in that.

So sorry for your loss. A family dog is so devoted and non-judgemental. Always there when you need a warm body to hug. I hope after allowing yourself time to grieve, you can give a home to another dog. But maybe not just yet. :hugs

I'm so sorry for your loss, but you sounded like a wonderful person for her to have had to spend so much of your time taking such good care of her.

Oh Joan! So sorry you lost your buddy. :hugs What a sweet face she has. 15 years is a good long life for a dog, but of course it always hurts when we lose them. Like Cat said, go on and cry.
I find working in the garden helps to soothe hurts. Hope it helps ease the pain for you a bit.

I'm sorry for your loss. I dread the day that I have to deal with the same thing for my Stacy & Zeus. I hope you find comfort and that another4 legged friend finds its way to you. You seem like you have a lot of love to share.

Oh Joan, my heart goes out to you. Loosing a long time pet is like having a piece of your heart cut out. I missed my first golden so much that I got two of them to replace him. And now they're getting old. I'm in double trouble.
