My son and I picked enough golden roma tomatoes to can about 2-3 quarts whole today and about 6 of my San Marsano toms too. WOW, those San Marsano toms are 3 times the size of any other roma tomato I've ever seen. :clap I'm gonna have to cut them up just to get them into a quart canning jar. :hu

I always grow romas for salsa. I fed all mine to the chickens this year. They were very mealy and I am not sure why. I checked them several times but they never got better. The birds liked them though!

My romas FINALLY came in too. They are still very green and I'm hoping the rippen ok in the next few weeks. I'm also planning on salsa for this winter. I do a LOT of parties at the holidays. :/
