I have been feeding my chickens sprouted grains in the winter this is an easy, quick, healthy way to grow treats your chickens will love. When I get buns I intend to do this for them too.

Excellent idea, Kassaundra.

I used to soak whole grain just for a horse. Chickens can do a little bit better (not a lot) but most of the whole grain will just pass thru a horse.

Give them what they want but make the "processing" simple for whole cereal grains. Looks to me like it is a step toward self-sufficiency .

This batch is wheat and oats. I sprout most anything, boss, corn, bird seed along w/ the wheat and oat is what is easiest for me to get.
