Is anyone here interested in Native Louisiana Iris? They are very accommodating, beautiful, easy to grow and there are many sources online to get started. I have been growing them actively for over 40 years. They are easy to divide. They are easy to breed, and to hybridize, and there is a worldwide interest in our native beauties!

Hello Andy, I was just wondering how cold hardy they were and if they would do well in zone 4? Do you have any photos or links where I could see some?

Do they grow from bulbs or rhizomes? I'll have to look them up. I've always loved iris of all varieties.

I planted my first one's about 3 years ago now. I have to save they are very well adapted to my area, and do well in moist soils. I happen to really like the Native Louisiana Iris. I haven't begun any hybridizing of them, but I will be dividing mine this fall. :D
