Need help for my bonsais!

I currently have a juniper bonsai and a flatleaf type bonsai. The juniper is starting to turn yellow and is getting crusty. The flatleaf type is getting yellow spots on the older leaves. What fertilizers are best for bonsais and what do you think i'm doing wrong?

I don't have the answer to your question... but I do remember when my mom brought home a bonsai from Japan on one of her trips... my step dad was blind and he accidentally knocked it out of the window and into a sink of soapy water. He didn't realize that it was the bonzai, but thought it was a cup of water, and so it sat for a while and then when I got home it was too late to save it.
