Neem Oil Spraying

I just did my Neem Oil spray on my fruit trees. Smelled pretty good to me! Hope the bugs don't think that same thing.

I will spray again after the fruit begins to develop... this is my first test run. I've heard good things you know.

My neighbor even came over and borrowed some to spray his trees and roses. Traded me some raspberry plants and I was able to get the grape vine he wanted to give us.

Ooo I have to dormant spray my fruit trees soon-ish. My big lilac bush has green buds on it now, and my dormant spray kit says just before the buds start to turn green on a warm, non-windy day so probably in the next week or so. The dormant spray kit has neem oil in it.

I've used neem oil on some of my veggies & have had pretty good results.

Just in case, it says in big letter on the bottle "Do NOT spray while plants are in bloom for pollinating. Spraying while bees are active WILL kill bees!"

So for my fruit trees I will spray again in a couple months when the fruit is developing only.

Neem oil is also a good powdery mildew spray.

Oh yes, I've used it on my grape vines as well to prevent Black Spot as well.

Its also helping with aphid on my rose.

I just did my second spray on my peach/apple/pear trees since some fruited this year. I will do another spray about 2-3 weeks before they ripen.

This is some good stuff, and prefer this over doing nothing... but I refuse to use any other chemicals.
