Neglected my flower

Thought this bulb my husband gave me was dead after it died in my greenhouse. I set it in my garage so I could get around to cleaning out its pot. It shot up 3 feet tall and gave me its best ever 4 blooms at once! I guess it really likes to be neglected.

I often feel that way about chickens, the less I interfere the less harm I do.

amaryllis are the only house plant i grow now and i like that they go dormant for the winter. nice flowers on that one, the ones i have are a solid slightly darker red color.
