Enjoyed reading your blog mama chicken. I don't go into people's blogs to read them, but I do read them when I'm prompted! :) Can't wait till you get your cow. I think that will be so neat!

Your little egg gatherer is so cute! And...can I ask, because I think it is awesome. Is the grain bag sewn or glued? What a wonderful idea! I would totally make some of these for our farmers market. Love the pic of the chick following momma around. Too cute! :D

Thanks Mary, I'm the same way, I don't even think about reading someone's blog unless there's a link right in front of me.
Stubborn, thanks, we think she's adorable too! The bag is sewn. It looks like the bottom of the bag was cut off and then sewn so it would stand up. Then the top was folded over and sewn down and the handles were sewn on. I'm pretty sure my friend's mom bought it (because I know she doesn't have chickens) but I saw an article online with instructions not too long ago.
The only flaw in this bag is that it causes chickens to follow you, since they're pretty darn sure you have something yummy in it.

Mama...I have the same bag. I bought it from someone over at BYC. Since I only have 6 chickens, I have half an egg carton inside to hold my eggs. I also bought a cosmetic bag made from the same material from her.

 That is pretty funny! I didn't think of that. I was thinking that they would make great beach bags. As long as the seagulls don't start following you around. That would be BAD!
