We decided that Spartacus had earned a new toy for being such a good watchdog on our camping trip a few weeks ago. I took him to a local feedstore here that has a huge selection of fun dog toys. We spent over an hour looking at different toys. He was not interested in any of them!! I was about to give up,
then I noticed a sort of barrel with lots of stuffed toys. I dug aound in there and showed some of them to Spartacus. No real interest from him, until then I found a Kitty stuffed animal.

Oh my goodness! He grabbed it out of my hand and wouldn't give it back. It was just what he wanted!

We came home and I got some photos of him with his new "Kitty Toy."

Here he is you can tell he is very happy to have it.

The next couple of photos are not for the "squeemish" (or cat lovers)

I told him he had to be nice to his new Kitty toy, and as you can see he is truly
repentant for chewing on the poor thing.

He is very nice to his toys really. He still has most the toys he has ever gotten.
And they are all in great shape.

Even as a cat lover I am so happy for Spartacus (what a great name!) - he looks proud as punch with his new toy. I must say though that toy has some evil looking red eyes.

The eyes are a sort of metallic orange and in photos they seem to glow red. It is a neat toy. The company makes really strong dog toys. They have a number system for how much abuse the toy can take.

We don't have any cats right now.Spartacus is an "only" child.
Here is an old photo (1970's) of my kids with a few of our feline friends.

I like cats, but I am allergic to them, Of course that never stopped me from having them around the house.

Dog toys don't last a day at my house. My lab eats the entire toy and my cocker mix pulls all the stuffing out and leaves the shell. I only buy tennis balls now.

Good boy Spartacus! :)

At our Feedstore they sell some really tough dog toys. The cat comes from a line of dog toys that has a number system as to how much abuse they can take. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and stitching on them. They are not cheap, but they are made especially well with no parts that can easily come off and get swallowed.
