Our garden is in the front yard in beds between the sidewalk and driveway. The potatoes were grown in 2 beds 2 feet by 4 feet.

Our grand daughter and Polly our Aussie. They both are great potato diggers!

Great harvest for so little space! How many pounds did you plant? How many pounds did you harvest?

I dug mine today and only harvested the amount in the lower left corner of your photo. That was out of a row about 20' long of which only 6 plants developed!!!

Looks to me like they are both great photographic subjects, as well.

Congratulations on your harvest (& everything else in your pictures), Bay'!

Steve :)

I'm lovin' my VOLUNTEER potatoes plants, growing on the inside of my street (old cattle type) fencing. I planted them in 2010, and forgot to harvest. They came up like gangbusters this year, and I have about 12 of them left in the ground. Now, after harvesting 5 of them Early, I'm harvesting them as needed. I saw a gardening program last year showing how the skin comes right off of freshly harvested potatoes. ALSO, for those who are growing for diabetics, if you harvest and cook immediately, the potatoes don't get a chance to turn all of the sugars to starch. So, diabetic potato lovers can have their fill.
