Here we go again our Arizona weather suppose to get cooler next week. My tomato plants are about 3 inches tall. I am worried about how cold it will be at night, I am guessing it will be in the 40's next week... Will they be ok ?

Not hardened off . . . but, under plastic . . . 37F .

. . (moved them from heated greenhouse to unheated tunnel) .

. . some of my tomato plants came thru fine, some wilted and lost a few leaves, and some died :/.

You must have them outdoors, DesertLady. If you are talking about high 40's, I wouldn't be concerned. Take a look at the wind forecast and covering them at 3" might not be difficult with a can or bucket or, 1 stake, couple sheets of newspaper wrapped around stake & plant, couple rocks to hold the paper down, voil.

40s will be fine. But did you rush your season? You get no benefit from early planting if the soil hasn't warmed up.

No I didnt plant them in a hurry!. I still got about 10 tomato plants inside my house. I planted three outside because its been really warm all week 90s. I am going to cover them up just in case. I hope the will survive!

Wonderful state, Arizona .

There was frost in Flagstaff this morning and high temperatures in the 70's.

Think about some shading, DesertLady! It may be able to double as frost protection next week.
