I just moved out here in '05 from Randolph County. I taught at Eastern Randolph High School for 5 years. What kind of gardening are you doing/want to do?

Newton, NC here. It's about an hour north of Charlotte. We have about a half an acre we are planting this year. Hopefully we'll get enough rain to make it worth it. We'll plant a lot of Silver Queen corn, among other fruits and veggies.

I have passed through Newton (as in Newton-Conover exit on I-40) I think. I wish I had a 1/2 acre to plant!
