After 22 years of marriage, my DH has never shown the slightest interest in helping me in the garden. Nor in planting anything on his own. Now all of a sudden he wants to plant bird house gourds and ornamental corn. But the only room is where I have allotted space for other things. So now I get to squish things together, so he can have part of the garden. I'm not complaining, just amazed. Every day it's something new.
Funny how things change. He has done a 180 on life, in general. He is seriously looking at a motor home to buy. I told him if he wants to devote a couple years to traveling, that's fine with me. I can get rid of the chickens and be ready to go in short order. After a couple years, we can re-evaluate.
Alternately, he is thinking about moving about an hour south so we can be near his daughter and her family. One of my sons lives in that area, too, and my other son is starting a new job down that way, so he may be moving down there, too.
Of course, if we get a motor home, we can park it in one of their driveways for a week at a time, then move to the next one, haha. Who needs a house??:D

When I was studying, I had lectures on psychology. In particular, in the male. They have several age crises. Men think that they missed something in her life. Even if they are fine. And beginning to compensate for this, sometimes something changing in your life. This is normal! And personally I like the train of thought of your husband.:)

My husband never wants to do anything during the "learning" stage, but when I start getting good at it he likes to swoop in and take half the credit o_O. I just can't say too much because he has to put up with me through all the trial and error stuff until I finally get it right . Maybe he just realized all the fun he was missing!

We always tell the kids the whole cliche about moving in with them rent free and taking all their food and never cleaning up after ourselves. Oh the joy that will be, lol.

WOW! That is fantastic news! My ex-inlaws sold their house, stored their things and hit the road for 3 years in a motor home. They finally circled back and built a new house, but left every spring and didn't come back until October. They had a great time. You and your husband could sell out, buy a portable building for the things you just can't part with and set it up on one of your kids property. Hit the road, go have some fun and like you said, park at the kids house(s) and visit for awhile. When you get the uncontrollable urge to "nest" again, raise a garden, have chickens again and all the things us gardeners love, then buy a house near ya'll's kids and make short trips. I say go for it. Don't look back and wish you coulda-woulda-shoulda.

So that is to be applied externally.....do you suppose it is for a skin condition? Since it is to decrease nerve pain, might be good for shingles. Hmmm.
