Just found that out from Gypsy. She came to supper wishing us all a "happy Canada Day".

I spent the afternoon watching 'The world without Canada' on the history channel, what can I say, I know so much more about the country I live in then I knew before. So much I didn't know about our resources, gold, diamonds, uranium, oil, natural gas and more. Apparently the uranium used in the atomic bombs in WW2 came from Canada, hubby knew that, I didn't. All the discoveries made by Canadians, I had no idea there were so many, Happy Birthday Canada.

@Nyboy in a word no, I had to think about this for a moment, I hope I've got it right. We still consider her our queen but she has no real power in Canada. I think the Canada Act
