Rough morning this morning. My chicken BIT me and drew blood,:rant then my good, old, dependable, lazy horse tried to unload me at the branding. Only the fear of walking home kept me on board. :ep

BUT...

I got our first red tomato, our first zuchinni and my first flying saucer squash today! The corn is tassling and the green beans have flowers. Ahhhh..it's nice when the plants behave even if the animals don't!

I'm pretty sure I've eaten horse before. I was on a boat that stopped in Panama and picked up some "steaks." They looked awesome; about an inch thick and big enough to fill a plate. They didn't smell quite right while cooking, and while I was eating it, I the flavor made me think I must be eating wolverine or something. It was very tough. The general consensus of the crew is that it was most likely horse.

I have days like that too when I think I would just like to fill the freezer and be done with them all!

Hoping everyone has been better behaved for you lately.
