As a kid-many decades ago-there were reports of victims of crime with on lookers not getting involved. Just watched. So sad. Not sure how someone could live with themselves knowingly not helping another human. Or even an animal for that matter..

What if the dead man on the bench was a dead dog or cat ... would the bleeding hearts animal rights folks in that daughnut line have a tizzy fit and call all authorities to find whoever killed the dog or cat, then start a fund for a proper burial ? :caf

Probably. Not to find whoever killed the animal, but to find the animal's owner -- that negligent wretch! Make the owner pay through the nose for allowing such a thing to happen.
