Painting Engine

I got a email about my truck this morning . This is a totally new one for me. The engine and bay where cleaned of years of grime, spots of orange paint mean engine was once orange. I was asked if I want engine orange or another color. I did not know engines are painted. What color should a engine be ? Should it match outside color ? What about chrome paint?

Would keep it original as much as possible...
It would keep the resale value just in case you wanted to sale it

if it's not original engine i'd go with whatever you like that looks good (if you're worried about resale value you might want to avoid hot pink, fushia or other odd colors ). cherry metallic red with a hundred layers of laquer is about my favorite for almost any car.

I have so much money into this truck resale value not a issue. Do plan on keeping for life so not freak out about cost. My nephew voted red
