The parents of Lola Ouzounian, a 17-year-old Armenian girl who was attending the concert at Bataclan when the venue was attacked by terrorists on Friday, confirmed her death, adding they had identified her remains, Asbarez reports.

Lola was attending the Eagles of Death Metal concert at Bataclan when the terrorists stormed the venue. During the commotion the father and daughter were separated. There has been search for Lola since Friday.

Paris became the latest target of attacks by groups affiliated with the Islamic State. French officials put the death toll at 129, with 352 injured, 99 of them critically when terrorists attacked several sites in Paris on Friday, one of them the Stade de France, where French President Francois Hollande was attending a friendly match between France and Germany.

A date for Ouzounian’s funeral services has not been announced.

I called a family meeting with Mother and my son last nite. We've always had earthquake plans, since the 1989 quake.

Now that I live 3 hours east of Silicon Valley, I wanted to discuss with them what to do, when, how and such if Levi Stadium were attacked during the Super Bowl, or there were attacks at the Golden Gate Bridge or at any other US/Calif icon that would be vulnerable. I talked mostly, about just getting in the car (always keep 1/2 tank of gas avail) and driving eastwards to our home.

Just lock up the homes, and leave if all chaos breaks out and they are scared. For me to come into back to the Bay Area would be problematic, so don't count on me coming down for them.
There is more, but my Mother is looking over my shoulder and commenting while I'm typing.....

Given that America could be another target, do you have plans in place? How self sufficient are you? I'm thinking since we all can grow food and discuss the parameters of such an effort, we're in better shape than most of our neighbors. I had some conversations with neighbors, about the Butte Fire and that our neighborhood was in "prepare for evac" orders. In summary, the thought was "NO, the firefighters would never allow that fire to come into Greenhorn Creek! This neighborhood is too nice and they'd never let us burn down."

Um folks, those million dollar homes that burned down in '91 in the Oakland fire were much nicer than our neighborhood. And the firefighters could not stop that. So clearly my neighbors by and large, were not prepared if the Butte Fire had jumped Fricot City Road and roared towards Angels Camp.

Trying to strike the proper balance between having blinders on, and running around screaming "Aliens have landed!" is proving to be pretty difficult for most of us. The USA is particularly vulnerable in our power grid, and that will paralyze us if it is shut down. I guess only Texans will have light and heat. Might be a good reason to move to Texas!
