Parker is our black Lab/Great Dane mix. He is a clown, loves a joke and we love him madly. He plays hide n' seek with our grand daughter (I hide his eyes so he can't see where she went) and he finds her, I swear he is laughing the whole time. He sleeps in DH's lap in the huge recliner and they both snore. :love He watches over my 90 year old mother when she goes outside and is my constant companion when I am doing anything. Today I drove T-posts so I could stake the galloping tomatoes that are reaching for the sky. I got out some hay twine and started the first string. My mother came outside and I heard her laughing. I turned around to find Parker "helping."

Parker was having a HUGE time playing with the hay twine. I called to my husband and he came out to see the Parker Show! He started trying to untangle a strand of hay twine for me and Parker stepped up his "helping" efforts. DH, my mother and I rolled with laughter at this goofy, lovable dog.

parker is obviously a keeper. works in the garden, looks after your mom, and entertains you to boot. now that's a good dog.

Hay Bay, my boss is a fireman big cheese guy, and one time he saw me making a knot. Shoot, when you're an ole neanderthal, never let your fireman boss watch you make a knot, anyhow, he told me that if I was in his firefighting squad I'd be sent to 3 weeks of knot making school, lol! I kind of think Parker would get sent there too!

dogs are the greatest garden helpers... parker new that you were starting at the wrong end of the twine ball. he is sure beautiful

my daughter was in the Coast Guard for a number of years. she told me, 'mom, if you can't tie a knot - tie alot'. parker has this down pat. i'm also one of the 'tie alot' group
