I nearly put this on the "spam" thread but decided that it may deserve more attention. It isn't TEG specific, anyway.

News is: 2 million Passwords Hacked (link)

These are for some accounts like Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc. I just went back and looked at my passwords for those. They aren't anything like any of my other passwords, except for one. . !

I keep my passwords on good old paper. The paper is easy to secret and I don't worry much about it. But you know, those passwords are all in those accounts scattered all over the internet. Several years ago, I had a lot of them, the same. I HOPE we have all learned not to do that!

However, my "Orbitz" travel password is still the same as one of these mentioned above. I think that may be a little more important than someone being able to hack in and post something ridiculous. I'm heading off to change that password - right now.

On the really important sites, I have clever passwords made up. Things that aren't too important or infrequently visited I will re-use the same password for. Mine are written down too.

It always bothered me that Facebook would be used to easily sign into certain other sites. Facebooks get hacked all the time. Yet another reason why I killed mine. :p

a hecker was someone who had a bad cough
now its somebody who wants to ruin your life.

yup no facebook/ tweeter/messenger/etc .no id or passwords saved here. we have been victims of identity theft a couple times. needless to say we pay all our bills online with a per paid debt card. thats not attached to our millions that we have squirrelled away<yeah right>
but we do change our passwords on a regular basis
this week it's password1234 :gig

keeping up on your anti-virus really helps..

Talking about population reduction by controlling birth rates, but ya know, a REAL good start would be neutering and spaying the hackers.

It would also increase the average mental health of humanity.

Hay! A TWOFER! :)
