I'm slowly switching to growing only perennial edibles.

Am in zone 7B and so far, other than herbs, have had success with leeks, chives, and green onions.

Anyone else focussing on perennial edibles?

I am just starting perennials on our new property here in 8a. Artichokes and asparagus were my first choices, I just love them. I may try jerusalem artichokes and rhubarb next year. Then there's berries, blackberries, raspberries, rabbiteye blueberries, grapes, and fruit trees. We put in 3 apples, 2 figs, a pommegranite, a peach, a plum, a nectarine, and a cherry. I'm sure there's lots more, that's just off the top of my head.:)

It's nice to have a long growing season but in the middle of summer I'd love to live somewhere cooler. :coolsun
