If you had a fat bottom before, after all that pick'en,I am sure you worked it off!

What are you going to do with all them fine peppers?
That is a week long project itself!

1) How many did I grow? 12 jalapeno, 18 serrano, 12 bell pepper, 6 NuMex Big Jim, 3 NuMex Sandia, 4 pablano, 3 habanero, 1 corno di toro.

2) What am I feeding them? Lots of goat poo

3) I'm sure they did cross-pollinate but I did not save the seeds - the cross-pollination does not show up unless you plant seeds from the crosses. The bells still tasted like bells, etc, etc...

4) How did I get so many red? I left them suckers on the plants :)

I hope to fire up the smoker in the next day or 2 and make me some chipotle peppers :drool

Back on Monday I had placed an ad on Craigslist wanting wood chips. So someone from the electric company contacted me Tuesday saying they had some crews out cutting trees from powerlines (which I know is necessary but irks the HECK out of me) to get my address. Yesterday afternoon we had one of those chipper trucks show up with a crew of Hispanic men.

I told them thank you for all the wood chips by sending them home with Wal-Mart bags full of peppers. I told them they could bring all the wood chips they want - I plan to build a driveway where our "new-to-us" house sits so we won't be parking on a mud slick. Plus all the places I can use them around the yard! :bun

I think it was a fair trade :thumbsup and I am looking forward to having all the wood chips I want. Yesterday's load smelled like yummy cedar :love
