Yep, been wanting to add height to the west side of our house which is now visible to the street since we took that big dead bradford pear out.

Got a nice 4 1/2' sized bush for $20. Its got a great shape, and I think maybe if I add one more near the A/C unit it will be a well formed side of the house.

Sorry, was just excited about the find.

I will probably post a photo later, going to plant it this afternoon. :D

I love those. I got three a couple of years ago, also for the bed on the west side of my house. the bed is only 30 inches wide, and the concrete path is only 16 inches wide. I needed height but no width, so I got the sky pencils. They have grown several inches. I moved one the other day because the dryer vent was blowing on it and the leaves in that area were dead.

Oh thank you for that. Maybe I shouldn't move one too close to the A/C vent in that case. Thank you!

How tall should I expect these to get?!

I had never heard of a sky pencil so I had to google it. They look interesting, I might have to try to find a couple.

I think they look cool, I have a few of them around the yard, I like to put them in places where you need a little height or you don't have enough room for a regular wide shrub.
