Every spring, I look around at the rows of dirt, and the tiny seedlings and I think- this isn't going to work!! It will never be a garden....and then one day - it is!
The cukes- surprising me with tons of cukes (overnight, of course!)

The cabbage really thrived in the cool, wet spring. I've got the keilbasa ready!

Oh my! It all looks so good, Lesa!

I was saying that you have had a better start than I have. That's true - the cucumbers are testament to that! (And, those peppers look good, too.)

Maybe my spuds are farther along than yours but they aren't a warm weather crop. And, you don't need to say that it is all because of location - between Idaho's potatoes (#1 in nation) & Washington's potatoes (#2). I mean, with all the talk about hay, straw, compost, leaves . . . nobody says, "Oh yeah! Grow them in gravel!"

Yours looks like a very pleasant garden environment. It is easy to understand why you enjoy it :).

Thanks! Steve, every time I see your "soil", I shake my head!! You truly inspire me. All the beautiful things you grow in a rock garden!! I really do love my little piece of paradise. It is right on a highway, and my business is also my home- but we have worked hard to make it as lush as we can....

Lesa, your garden looks fabulous. It does seem to be further along than ours over here on the Wa. Id. Border. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Your garden looks great! It really has a nice flow to it, very peaceful. I got down to the last picture and couldn't believe how big it is too. Your husband must really be faithful at weeding! It's pristine.

OK, that's it! Now I'm angry. Your potatoes look wonderful and mine are almost non-existent. This is one of my worst years for potatoes. My potato trenches filled with water and remained that way for many weeks.

Your entire garden looks GREAT. Good job.

Your garden looks fantastic! :ya
I do seem to remember, not so long ago, you were saying how far behind you were in your seed starting....
soooo... how did your garden suddenly get so mature? My stuff still looks like bitty babies!
