Plant cage

Last fall a company named Global Garden Friends sent me a sample of their "Ultimate" plant cage to try. I will be using it in the greenhouse to support a cubanelle pepper plant. The upright supports extend to almost twice the height in the photo, however, I doubt I will have to raise them for the pepper plants. The front rod was removed to show the plant.

Hmmmm. Is that bottom disk part heavy, to keep it steady? or are their spikes down into the dirt that I don't see? Seems like something that might get blown over in an outside garden if it's not heavy duty or held down in place. I like the idea of the telescoping poles though...

Good point. Yes, there are spikes that go deep into the soil. Also, there is a plastic chain like affair with clips that attach to the posts to form a trellis. I did not show it as I may not need it for peppers. It would work really well with a climbing plant or vine though. It may also work for cucumbers.
