looks like burdock to me too. The roots are edible and its a known detox and anti cancer herb, the root part when dried and made into tea

Terrible stickery weed that you don't want to be barefoot around or to remove from animal fur. Burdock. Looks like you easterners have a bigger leafed version that's kinda pretty.

Burdock root is called gobo in Japan and a reguarly served vegetable. It is shredded and served sauteed in oil.
