finally got something into the ground...totally forgot about planting potatoes in the round and dug an 8 foot bed for our first planting of potatoes...this past Tuesday I started tomato, zinnia, broccoli, chard, brussel sprouts, lettuces, asian greens, mesculn[sp] and pepper seeds inside and every thing is up except the peppers...
Got the first 4 ft x 8 ft raised bed filled and have a green house/cold frame on top of it and looking to see how warm it gets in there... I may start my cucumbers in there if it is warm enough...
Today was great got help with raking some of the yard from my grandson and friend while I worked on the potato bed and Dh filled the raised bed with compost...
:happy_flower Hi momofdrew! :happy_flower
Isn't it great to get something into the ground at long last? I just can't keep out of the garden --I don't want to be anywhere else. I also noticed that I'm a lot fitter now & have lost a tiny bit of weight so that's an added bonus !!
I too have a lot of seedlings coming up indoors & my peppers are the only ones that haven't come up. It is the first time I've grown them so I have nothing to compare them with. Can you tell me if they take much longer to come through than other seeds? I've got them at the right temperature.
Enjoy your gardening & good luck with your crops :weight
