planting bush beans back to Eden method

how would you plant bush beans in back to Eden method? rack back the mulch and plant in the dirt? sow in the wood chips? transplant in the wood chips?

Depends on how long your chips have been down. If they are fairly new, then you'll want to plant in the soil, give them a light layer of chips back over top to keep the soil moist and then replace the full layer once the beans come up well.

If you've had chips down for enough time to have a soil/chip mixture, then poking the beans down into the chips seems to work just fine. Every single bean I planted that way this year germinated and grew like crazy.

well the chips are 2 weeks old sooooo.... :gig
