I have searched the web and have had no luck identifying these 2 plants.

This one looks like the flower is painted on the leaves

And this one I picked up on the side of the road in Empire, LA, growing wild :D

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,

The top one: Is the red actually little leaves or red on a larger green leaf? If you break a leaf off, or just break a little edge of a leaf, does it have white milky juice?

The top one almost looks like a poinsettia. At least it looks like the ones my mom managed to keep alive for a few years. Not sure though.

It does look a little bit like a poinsetta, maybe it's in the family.

Here it shows color on little seperate leaves and also color painted on green leaves, LOL.
