I planted these back in June just a couple weeks after I planted my corn. My corn is done, and ripped out (Other then a few stalks for the beans to climb).

Well the beans have climbed them... and I have seen flowers on those pole bean vines on and off for last couple of weeks, but no beans?!

Whats going on, and when can I expect beans?! (I have 5 vines going in different places having this issue)

P.s. - Its the Blue lake variety!

Well I wouldn't give up hope just yet. You should see some tiny beans on the vines. High heat and high humidity can interfere with pollination of beans (self pollinators), but they are so prolific that its not a big problem. Pole beans can take a bit of time to start really producing as well. Say...70-80 days from germination to harvest...that sounds about the time table you are on. Look closely and you may see a few little itty, bitty beans forming. Good luck! and be glad you only have 5 vines. I am just about ready to rip my Kentucky Wonder's out so I don't have to pick any more.

LOL... I wish I could want to rip them out so I didn't have to pick anymore. I was bummed to have to rip out my cucumber plant due to disease, but if I had to pick another cucumber I was going to scream!!!!

Thanks... trying to be patient now. ;)

Yep, good old pole beans! I don't bother with bush beans any more, since I get so much more in so much less space with the pole beans. they do take a bit longer to get going than bush beans, but when they do, boy, you'll be going crazy trying to get them all picked and dealt with. Last year I had so many that I ended up composting three grocery bags full because I simply had so many that I couldn't eat them all, ran out of people to give them to, and had no more space in my freezer - and I have an upright freezer as well as a chest freezer! So be patient, good things come to those who wait!

How I wish that was my problem with Sugar Snap peas! How I love them, and how I ran out from 13 vines so quickly. I wish I had room for 40 vines... and I'd still have wanted more.

I did find 1 tiny teeny itty bitty green bean going out there... just one... so I haven't given up hope yet.

I have the exact same situation with my pole beans. This is the first year I've grown them, and I was surprised at how slow they are. But I also have bush beans, so I'm getting my green bean fix right now! :D
