I am hoping my lemon tree comes back when the weather gets warmer!
The nights going down to 17 degrees did not make it very happy!

Those wlited white stems are my beautiful Nasturtiums!! I think they will not come back!!

Wish I had taken a photo of them! They covered the entire ground under the tree!

Oh no, and it was even trying to make a little lemon. It's like a Charlie Brown lemon tree now. Poor thing.

Is that the framework for a cover around it? Maybe a lightbulb in there with it when the temps get that low might help.

Yes that is a framwork for protection, not only for cold, but for shadecloth during the summer. Yes, a light might have helped.. but, my long extension cord, is used for the heatlamp in the chicken coop on such cold nights. And that cord is the type for use with only one plug it "locks" in whatever is plugged into it. I use it mostly for my string trimmer.

I would love to put a nice light bulb under the cover with the tree. Thankfully we seldom get more than one of two nights a year that the plants need covering.
