So we harvested our popcorn we let dry on the stalks. They came out perfect, its two heirloom varieties a white and a red. Looks so pretty together in the jar. Got a whole quart jar out of about 20 stalks. My hand hurt though from getting it off the cob. I even wore leather gloves while doing it.

It's so pretty! :rainbow-sun

Mine still hasn't tasseled yet. I hope it will get going before frost!

Husband is egging me on plant a second crop of it and it should be ready in October. But that is assuming we get some good rains in August and have a dry October for harvest purposes. It's too risking when I can grow some black beans instead and know I'll get a quick harvest for my winter chilli recipes.

In fact, end of next week I'll have 2 pretty much empty beds I need to do something with. Too early for cabbage or carrots, so I have to make a quick decision?!

Beautiful Popcorn vfem!! They do pop to be a white popcorn right?,not a different color. They would make a nice centerpiece too for Fall maybe with some winter squash around it.
Now that you have 2 empty planting beds what if you plant some quick crops for a fall harvest, what about broccoli or lettuce?
