About 20 years ago, the sawmill I was working at burned down. They brought in a Woodmizer LT40 fully hydraulic to keep sawing while they rebuilt the big mill. I ran it for a couple weeks. Of course it wasn't as fast as the big stationary mill, but I thought it worked pretty good.

I have read a lot about the Timberking brand. The design looks very good, and it's built by the same people that make Woodmaster woodworking machines. I special ordered a big Woodmaster about 10 years ago. The sales man didn't know if they could build one the way I wanted, so they got the production foreman on the phone and he said he could build it the way I wanted. I put several hundred hours on that machine and was very pleased with it.

Yes, that's what I'm referring to, that type of thing. I'm working on one, not that big, as I have time. I burn so much Douglas Fir as fire wood and I'm buying lumber. It would be great to fire up my mill and mill what I need. I know people have them some make their own.

Here's what I've got so far. There will be another wheel, that the band blade will ride on, on the left side of the mill carriage. The the mill bar can be cranked up and down for the size of the cut.

It's clamped together, I'll weld it to the carriage when when it is all laid out.

The carriage will ride on a track that I've built.
