Are there any herbs that should not be planted with potatoes? I have my potatoes in a raised bed and thought I might also try planting some herbs with the potatoes. Are there any herb no-no's.

Thanks!!

Hi Pebbles!
I found this link on this site a while ago and found it very interesting. We are trying several suggestions in the list. I figure if it helps, great we can all use a little help, if not then I have beautiful flowers and other plants the normally would not be in the vegetable garden.

I'm already liking the look and come late July should be beautiful! Hope this helps.:)

Don't mean to hijack this thread but I have a queston. How close do the companion plantings have to be? I have a perenial bed next to my veggie garden. This bed contains some of the plants mentioned. Is this close enough to my veggies? The perenial bed is also next to my 2 fruit trees on the other side.

Hi Ninnymary- I'm not sure how close the guide is clear on that. Most of what we grow is in raised beds so every bed has some flowers and herbs to help out, but most of the beds are only a few feet apart. So I'm thinking that if the plant brings in certain insects that plants in the other beds would benefit. There seems to little actual scientific evidence about plants growing together, I have read about plants ability to react to sounds and emotions from people so there has to be something to it.

If it can then it's worth a shot. IMHO.:)
