The little buggers are eating my tomato plants. I moved the potatoes to another garden to keep them seperate. STILL EATING MY TOMATOES!!!!!! :barnie :barnie :barnie :barnie

HELP PLEASE! I will spray them if I knew what to use. No time to pick them all off.

And, they'll eat your eggplant. Actually, they seem to like the nightshade weeds that grow around my garden best . . . ;). I look for them there first and then focus in on the veggies.

When it looks like the potato beetle is getting out of hand, I spray with the Bt made specifically for these pests. Kansas State University says Pyrethrins and Rotenone work also but I haven't really found them very effective.

It seems necessary to spray a 2nd time with the Bt - after about 5 days have passed.

I've found Sevin to be effective. The liquid, not the powder. If the tomatoes are blooming, try to spray at the evening to minimize damage to bees.
