Our DDs carved pumpkins that we bought at the store. When we gutted them I saved a few seeds from them before DW could bake them all. Do you think that the seeds could be dried and planted in the garden next spring? Heres a pic of one of our DDs pumkins carved waiting for other DD & D neice to carve theirs tonite and will post them also. We also would like to see yours, so someone should start a thread.
This is supposed to be a bat.

Sure I think you could save some seeds and plant them.

Nice bat! Looks just like a bat to me.

Sure the seeds should germinate fine for next spring. I'm saving seeds with interesting winter squash I'm finding at grocery stores.
Nice picture of the pumpkin there! ;)

Pumpkin seeds aren't as long lived as some but they can be stored for 2 or 3 years before they lose their ability to sprout. Bear in mind that if your pumpkin was a hybrid the seeds may not produce pumpkins like you bought but they will all be edible.
