Ive gotten a number of Yellow Boy tomatoes and they all look like this. Just beautiful yellow tomatoes. And there are a TON of them out there.

My daughter picked the Green Zebra a little early but the plants are LOADED with them too, gonna have more of those next year for sure.

Those look as tho' they could be floating in space, Jared!

Here is the first of Dana's Dusky Rose . . . just a little short of fully ripe:

My tomato plants are small this year and "loaded" wouldn't mean much in my garden ;).

Here is Kellogg's Breakfast. In the same basket, ripening slowly. I am delighted with having 2 plants in the garden. Well, mostly delighted that I'm going to have a ripe one to try! Only one plant might be called "loaded." I've never grown KB before and was worried that it would require a longer season. It isn't quite ripe but it won't be long:

Dusky Rose is also new-to-me. I was told that it was early and might be suited for this part of the world!

Atho' I had high hopes for Dusky Rose, things aren't quite working out as I'd expected with the other new varieties. Sweet Quartz cherry is real sweet and an early cherry right along with Sungold in ripening! Delightful!

Meanwhile, New Big Dwarf has all these deformed fruits and the Dagma's Perfection plants might average 1 fruit/plant. Ach nein! Between those 2 I think there may be 25 row-feet mostly just taking up space!

Jared,

Nice tomatoes, those zebra ones are very pretty with their markings.

Steve,

Great maters too!! Did you weigh them? Any 1 to 2 pounders yet.

Thank you, both the Lemon boys and the Green zebras are keepers for us. First time growing either variety what got me was how uniform and the volume that both plants produced. It was like they read the packet and were like "Oh thats what I'm supposed to do? Ok then lets make it happen!" :p

Steve those are some beautiful tomatoes. Sorry to hear the production isn't there for you. I'm curious to hear about the flavor too.

I can't wrap my mind around the green zebras!! I need to track some down around here and TRY ONE, to get me over the opinion that it's going to taste like a nasty unripe tomato!!! :p. Seems like it would be a good choice for me if i liked them :)

I had my first one a few weeks ago and I really like them. Good, strong tomato flavor, go to the Farmers Market and go get one I think you'll like it.

Oh no, Gt. It might happen yet with another variety.

I did weigh them . . . you know how I am . . . ;) They both weighed right near 8oz.

Aaand, I ate 1! But, not either in the pictures. The 2nd ripest Kellogg's Breakfast that I left in the garden Friday, was ripe this afternoon. I guess that's what happens outdoors when the temperature is around 90 each day!

It might have gone another day, DW claimed that her slice was sour! There was only a slight acidity with a lovely smooth aftertaste. No wonder this is a very popular heirloom!

I suspect DW isn't going to like the Dusky Rose whether it is completely ripe or otherwise. I fully expect a more pronounced flavor from that dark fruit. She is hard to please with a tomato - it should have very little flavor and no tartness, according to her .

I hope everyone will report on their tomato trials.
