Ordered another little cheapie greenhouse like the one I had that got crushed by the snow. It also ripped the stitching out of the cover, but one of these days I might get brave and try to sew it back up. Meanwhile, the one I ordered is even cheesier than the last one, so we are going to use t posts and cattle panels for the frame like I do for my animals, and put the cover over that. It looks like it will be a perfect fit.

We shall see! :bow

Ah, what's a greenhouse anyway?

It is just something that comes between your plants and the sun.

Having one made out of cast iron and crystal would just be the proverbial gild on the lily!

Got my fingers crossed we can make it work. We had near hurricane force winds a couple of times in the past 2 weeks, but my livestock shelters stayed put. My seedlings are getting anxious and I have 4 baby turkeys that are going to have to live in this thing for about 6 or 7 weeks as they are outgrowing their spot in the house!
I'll get pics as soon as we get it together :p

Hey Petey, it can't possibly be more cheesy than what I put up every spring!
Major, you're going to be harvesting soon!

Part of the frame was already bent up coming out of the box and there is no way for the little poles to stay together. No matter, we have it handled, as I already knew it was poorly made. I just needed the fitted cover.

Majorcatfish, those are beautiful. I love the idea of the aluminum foil around your plants! I wish I had some room in the house for my stuff. I had to move my seedlings so I could put my sewing machine back in its spot to make a birthday gift. Every inch is accounted for in this house....twice! My little peppers and tomatoes seem happy enough in the bathroom window for now, as long as it doesn't get down to 18 again at night. They were NOT too happy about that yesterday. I have a heater I can stick out there in the green house, it worked pretty good last year.

IF my turkeys do well, next year we will get a breeding pair and let them 'go to seed'. :gig
