I took photos yesterday of the PVC Trellis in the front yard. But for some reason my Photobucket acct. is not letting me upload any photos. So I am trying this link to Flickr. Someone let me know if it works ok...

It came right up for me. Your trellis looks great. Is that a perennial morning glory? Watch out for them. Mine would cover the world if I let it. It puts kudzu to shame for spreading. :happy_flower

Yes, I know they are quite the invaders!! I got a few cuttings about 5 years ago from a neighbor a few blocks away. And now I have the vines growing on my back fence, the chain link fence that divides my Tortoise yard and the rest of the backyard, and on the fence that is by my clothes lines! They grow so good here! They can take quite a bit of heat and are pretty draught tolerant too. But, they can sure take over if not kept under control.

The PVC trellis is a great idea. Looks doable and affordable for the likes of me, even.

I love to see your trellis pics- it looks so beautiful. Remind me again, what did you use for the morning glories to attach to... I seem to remember the PVC was too smooth??

The square areas on either side have chicken wire on them. The pipe the makes the arch... I toyed with the idea of drilling holes in it to run some wire through for tying on the vines, but never did that. The vines seem to grow up it ok, and I tie to the pipe with raffia.
