I have two raised beds now!!!!!!!!!!:celebrate

My son built me three boxes out of some old barn planks, they are 4x8". They are all three in the garden but I only had enough peat moss and compost to fill two. I am moving my cabbage, lettuce and onions outside to my portable greenhouse to start hardening. Then I am hoping to plant them next week if the weather holds. I have poles and 6mil plastic to make a hoop house, although I might do two. I am so excited. I am planning on making all of may garden into raised beds so I have a lot of work to do but it is started. :weee

Well it was about 70 degrees today so I did not have to worry to much about my plants that I set out. I looked at them when I got home and they looked better then when I had set them out in the morning. My lettuce really streched out. I am growing it in a plastic cup cake container. The kind you get at krogers with 12 cupcakes. Works great. I went ahead and left them outside. I may have to bring them in this weekend because it is going to get really cold for about 2 days then I am planning on sticking them into the garden.

I want to get a picture but it has been to late the last two nights. They aren't georgeous beds except to me. My son (did I mention he worked in Montana as a logger) built them and I can tell he didn't use his dad's chop saw, no, he used the chain saw. Yep I love him. And they still have part with paint and part without. I am sure I will be replacing in two years.

Beds are beds are beds! All that matters is that you like them! :)
Agreed.
For anybody who is thinking about building them, I found these articles in MY raised bed research that are interesting:
