In this morning's " The Columbian " newspaper ... In a small town just 10 miles from us ... a raw milk dairy that sells their raw milk and raw cream in 5 small grocery stores in South Clark County, Washington ... A routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture found the dairy's raw cream was contaminated with listeria monocytogenes. As a result the dairy is voluntarily recalling all raw cow milk, raw goat milk, and raw cream . The dairy is asking all customers to throw out any raw milk products that they have purchased. The owners started their operations in 2011 to produce raw cow and goat milk and cream and also sell eggs, beef, and pork. After hearing of the contamination, the owners decided to close the dairy. They planned to cease operation in a couple years but the listeria contamination sped up that decision. " It's a bittersweet goodby" !
