You may remember this picture from "Ready to Grow! Nov 2, 2014:

Here are those plants today:

looking towards the east, Bok Choy, Choy Sum (& a tiny Asian Mustard)

Experiences last winter tell me that these will be very tender greens despite their slow growth over 3+ months. The other Asian greens in this bed in the center of my greenhouse should be of harvest size shortly - if they ever get any sunlight this winter!

Many of the plants in the south bed may not make it to harvest size before I need to clear the greenhouse and move benches back in, early March. Shouldn't much matter since the hoop house will go up at that time and I can fill that with the smaller plants. There should be three months of fresh greens before we can get into the frost-free season and, probably, several weeks after.

:) Steve

I go for mild, @so lucky .

Bok Choy (baby, Shanghai varieties) for stir-fry and Maruba Santoh for salad or sandwich. Maruba Santoh is so mild it hardly seems like it belongs to the family.

If I could include Broccoli ... did you know that there has been quite a bit of discussion as to whether Marco Polo brought some of the Italian vegetables back from Asia or not. I don't really know if Broccoli is one of those.

Steve :)
Chinese Cabbage sometimes makes me burp ...
