Yes, in the early spring while I was getting my veggie garden tilled in dear husband had so much fun, he tilled out a 32'x6' addition to the front bed. Of course that's all her did for a LONG LONG time. So it sat and got muddy, and the weed returned. I raked and dug some trying to by time until I could get to it. I worked weekends, so eventually I gave up.

Then one day he had a saturday off and the neighbor came and helped... and the mud hole that sat for a few months was cleaned out and edged out for me. So I turned in compost, moves a few perennials and a rescued rose into the bed. Later I filled with some bulbs and lots of zinnia just to fill the space.

I wanted to share the photo from last month, because now I look at it... I'm shocked to see so much growth so quickly!

I do remember when you first tilled it...over a year ago, was it? Don't feel bad, I've had two piles of composted cow manure sitting in my front yard for over a year now for my proposed landscaping, which may even yet STILL not happen! :p Your flowerbed looks great and I love how it all flows together. Are those sweet potato vines in the light green color?
