I got into the cupboard Saturday to get a jar of tomatoes for my special chicken noodle soup. Yikes! There's only one left!!! So, in a panic I did a quick inventory...nothing left but a couple quarts of green beans, and 2 pints of beets. I didn't grow a garden last year and now I'm paying for it. I can't bear the thought of store bought. PLEASE HURRY SPRING!!!

Oh Monty, you had me scared. I thought something bad had happened. Well, I guess for you it has. Serves you right for not growing garden last year, that'll teach you!

Good news Monty Phil and Chuck sad spring is on its way. I know it's hard to see with the 6 inches of snow outside. I am in Ohio so I am assuming that we have a similar view out our windows.

I'm directly across the river from Steubenville, so yup, same view.

I am about 2 hours from Steubenville and I am in one of those microclimates where it's always a little colder, a lot windier and over all just special when it comes to weather alerts because we live up in the hills (on top). I love it though, we also get cool breezes when it hot and most of the time I like it better here then closer to town.

Sounds like you are a bit south of Powhatan Point, probably closer to Marietta.
