The other day I posted there is a few different seating areas in my garden that are never used. last night a friend and I went out to dinner, afterwards we came back to my house. I opened a chilled bottle of wine got 2 glasses and went out to gazebo . The night had cooled off the stars where out, the wine was good most important was being with a good friend.

Amen to that, @Nyboy! Probably even more important to someone with homes in two different places. Without time to enjoy the fruits of your labor all gardening is work.

I'd love to trade for that arbor. It is a beautiful work of art in its own right, but it is screaming for a vine or two to shade the dome. I don't know what I'd use for my end of the trade. . . . broken mower, broken tractor, bobcat that won't start, etc.

I got it for free client was knocking down house she bought, it was in the yard and she didn't want it!! all it needed was paint. The only flat part of my yard was over leach field I was afraid to plant anything because of roots. I have 3 urns around it I try to grow morning glories, but not having luck.

I have benches, a hammock and many chairs all over the place. The portable chairs get used for short rests when gardening. I dream of napping in the hammock but it never happens.

Our special places are 4 plastic imitation Adirondack chairs from Lowes ($17.88 each, real bargain ) grouped under a tree or wherever we drag them to.

Having serious gazebo envy.

looks nice Nyboy. down in the Hampton, NH area there is a seller of items like those gazebos and other wrought iron items like chairs & benches. a friend of ours got a beautiful gazebo about a year before out wedding in 2006 and we had our wedding in their small backyard under it. theirs is white and they've since added a wrought iron fence around the garden to match it.

today dh & i ended up going to Rowley, MA for the Todd Farm flea market with a friend. one of the vendors had some nice metal arches and benches along with some planters. didn't really look for the prices since i knew they wouldn't be in the price range i would like. saw some decent deals and some over-priced stuff too.

That is a nice gazebo! Do you have problems with dew settling on the outdoor furniture? Here, as soon as it's dark, all the cushions get damp.
Last night, to our south, there were terrific lightning thunderstorms rumbling. Big tall clouds, maybe 20 miles away. but just to the west, the sky was clear, and two big planets were visible. Maybe Venus and Jupiter?
I love to be outside at night. Looking at the sky helps put our little petty issues in the right proportion.
